Flower School Glasgow

Since opening in September 2008, hundreds of students have attended our workshops, demonstrations and professional classes.

From the start of  2015, our focus has been on providing classes for aspiring florists or those already working in the industry.

In 2016 we introduced one to one practical coaching days as well as strategic business coaching.

Our wedding flowers courses (classic and garden style) and our one week or two week career courses are perfect for those looking to get started in the industry or those with new businesses.

For florists with established businesses, our courses for large structures and luxury tablescapes teach new skills as well as provide confidence building and inspiration to improve their current business offerings.

Each year we invite at least one guest tutor to teach and have been blessed in recent years with incredible teachers such as Susan Mcleary and Jay Archer.

To book a class you can call us on 0845 362 0982 to pay by credit card or book directly online.

Meet Nick Priestly

After gaining a degree in International Business & Modern Languages and then pursuing a career in London’s financial district for five years, Nick retrained as a florist in 2003.

Nick is the principal tutor at Flower School Glasgow and brings a wealth of knowledge from his 14 years in the industry. At his events and weddings business, Mood Flowers, he continues to design around 50 weddings and events a year as well as overseeing the weekly designs for the majority of the West of Scotland’s five star hotels.

His work has taken him around the world writing articles for various publications about the flower industry in New York, Stockholm, Paris and Hong Kong.

Since 2012 Nick has been an expert panel member on the blog Botanical Brouhaha. Each fortnight you can read his advice along with other international panel members.

Nick became a Chapel Designer in March 2014 when he attended his first conference in New York. Today he is the UK Ambassador for Chapel Designers and in April 2017 will co-host the annual London Chapel Designers conference with Holly Chapple for the third time.
